STEAMfest is a community-driven, not-for-profit event.
Please consider supporting our mission by donating, adopting a mascot, purchasing a Family Fun Pack, adding a Maker Experience or Paying It Forward.
Your generosity keeps the magic alive!
Say hello to the axolotl — our official STEAMfest 2026 mascot! This adorable, palm-sized, 5-inch plush is more than just a cuddly companion — it’s here to inspire curiosity and celebrate one of nature’s most amazing amphibians.
Available in three colors: pink, onyx, and bluegill — collect all three!
Did you know? Axolotls can regrow body parts like legs, parts of their tail, and even some internal tissues — scientists study them to learn more about healing and regeneration!
Another cool fact? Axolotls keep their feathery-looking external gills and stay “water-living” their whole lives — they don’t go through the same kind of metamorphosis as many other amphibians.
Perfect for little hands and big imaginations, this lovable axolotl makes the perfect keepsake from this year’s STEAMfest adventure — and your generous $20 donation supports STEAMfest.

STEAMfest Maker Experiences
Free admission includes all regular STEAMfest activities. These optional add-on experiences help cover higher-cost materials.
Build it, decorate it, and launch it! Participants will assemble and customize an Estes Cosmic Ray model rocket (about 13″ tall) with a striking teal & green design and a parachute recovery system. Rockets will be launched as they’re completed, following a pre-launch safety briefing with our Range Master.
The included A8-3 solid-fuel motor delivers up to 10 N of thrust and can send rockets 200+ feet into the air.
Includes: Rocket kit and motor.

Design and wear your own glowing STEAMfest badge! Makers pick from pre-printed STEAMfest-themed templates, color and customize, then add lights using peel-and-stick LEDs, conductive tape, and a battery.
You’ll learn the basics of circuits—like polarity and connections—while creating a fun take-home project.
Includes: Badge + lanyard + LED materials (project is yours to keep).

Donate a STEAMfest Maker Experience
STEAMfest is free to attend, but some Maker Experiences have higher material costs. If you’re able, you can help another child participate by donating a Maker Experience. Your gift covers supplies so a family who needs a hand can still build, design, or create something amazing.
How it works
Choose the number of Maker Experiences you’d like to sponsor.
We’ll work with our community partners to distribute donated experiences to families who would benefit.
Donated Maker Experiences cover the materials and participation cost for the experience.
